TORONTO - The Humiliation dealt the winless Beau's Beer Hack their sixth loss of the season this past Saturday night at Upper Canada College, picking up their third straight win in the process. The final score in that contest was 4-1. The Hack maintained company outside the win column, though, as the first salvo in this season's Battle of Parkdale saw the Lads get the better of the Porcupines, who remain in pursuit of their first win of the season as well. The 2-0 victory improved the Lads record to 4-2-2 and earned the squad a share of 1st place in the UUHA standings, alongside the Humiliation and Wheatfield Souldiers. The Souldiers, meanwhile, suffered their first loss of the campaign, falling 3-0 to the Gas Station Islanders, who improved to 4-4-0 with the victory.
Those results conspired to tighten up the UUHA standings significantly, with just two-and-a-half points currently separating 1st place from 6th spot on the leader board, which could look a lot different following this coming Saturday's matches. The Brockton Rockets, though currently sitting in 5th place, could vault to 1st overall with a penalty-free win over the Hack. Meanwhile, a victory over the Porcupines could earn the Jokers a share of the top spot, depending on the results of the Humiliation's game vs. the Souldiers. That one is scheduled for 8:00 pm at UCC, preceded by the 7:00 pm match-up between the Jokers and Porcupines. Beau's Beer Boys take on Brockton at 9:00 pm.
