TORONTO - Gas Station Islanders sniper Dominic Chartier captured the 2012/13 UUHA Regular Season point-scoring title, edging out Parkdale Lads scoring leader Kyle Welton by a single point. Chartier finished the Regular Season with 31 points in 15 games while Welton trailed with 30 over the same number of games. The two players claimed equal shares of the league's goal-scoring title, though, netting 22 goals each. The final game of the Regular Season (played last Sunday on the outdoor ice at High Park) saw the two leader-board denizens go head to head with the points and goal-scoring titles on the line. Welton finished the game with a hat-trick while Chartier managed to maintain his points lead with an assist.
The Humiliation's Mike Thompson and Wheatfield Souldiers forward Eric Toth tied for 3rd-place honours in the goal-scoring race, potting a dozen each. Thompson also finished 3rd in overall Regular Season points with 21.
Meanwhile, Wheatfield Souldiers forward Mike Harkness topped the assist column with 16 registered helpers. Jokers defenceman Charlie Rishor was runner-up in assists with 14, while his teammates Mike Takacs and Craig Hughson tied for 3rd place with 11 apples each.
And Souldiers goaltender Sheldon Shurland nabbed top honours among regular UUHA keepers, posting a miserly 1.00 Goals Against Average and a .937 Save Percentage over the course of six games. Gas Station Islanders back-up goalie Matt Barber was next with a GAA of 1.20 over five games, with Souldiers' third-string minder (and usually defenceman) Mike Wilk registering a GAA of 1.60 in his five games. Jokers goalie Burke Lawrence lead all others in Shutouts with a trio of donuts, and in wins with 10 registered victories. (Also worth noting is Jokers back-up Gary Emanuel's 1.00 GAA performance, although it was registered over the course of just two games.)
