Jokers forward Mike Takacs got his side on the scoreboard first, potting an unassisted tally just over nine minutes into the opening frame. Adam Thrasher pulled the Quills even four minutes later converting a penalty shot to solve goalie Burke Lawrence as the temperature hovered around minus 6 degrees centigrade. A pair of goals from captain Ted Bissaillion put the Jokers on top before Todd Moffat drew the opposing side back within one. Further tallies by Jokers' spare G.
