TORONTO - With the puck set to drop on the 2013 UUHA Winter Classic Series in a matter of days, the forecast looks as though Toronto's famously fickle winter weather will cooperate. According to the Weather Network's projection, the Humiliation and Wheatfield Souldiers can look forward to light snow and temperatures at, or slightly above, the freezing mark for their Sunday, Feb. 10 outdoor match under the lights at High Park rink. With any luck, similar conditions will prevail for the following Sunday's Jokers vs. Porcupines game, as well as the Sunday, Feb. 24 game featuring the Parkdale Hockey Lads and Gas Station Islanders.
The Isles vs. Lads contest will not only be the final game of the 2013 Winter Classic Series but the last game of the UUHA Regular Season, as well. The 2013 UUHA Playoffs are scheduled to get under way at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 2 at Upper Canada College. All six full-time UUHA squads will be in action that night. Match-ups will be determined by the final Regular Season standings.
